The T-6 Texan was known as the pilot maker because it trained over 100,000 allied pilots during WW II. Now you have the chance to experience the romantic 1940s and climb aboard this warbird for an adventure flight to the New England Gorge Country and some dizzying aerobatics on the return leg.
Upon arrival, you are given a full, pre-flight briefing and an introduction to the T-6 Texan aircraft plus an overview on the types of aerobatic manoeuvres you will encounter thats right for your comfort level. After the briefing, jump aboard the warbird ready to depart Armidale Airport to head south-east over the New England Farmland toward Dangars Gorge.
At Dangars Gorge you link up with Gara Gorge before proceeding back to the airfield. During the return leg your pilot takes the Texan to a safe aerobatics height where youll experience aerobatics from dives, rolls, Cubin 8s and loops and more.
Feel the G forces as you carve up the sky. Experience the unique sound, the smell and the feel of a beautifully restored supercharged fighter trainer.
Finally, you return to the airport where you began and safely land ready for some photos alongside the plane.
Allow 1 hour for the experience with30 minutes spent in the air.

Any changes made to bookings must be done at least 48 hours before the flight.
You must be 13 years old and over, weigh no more than 130kg and be under 200cm tall. A parent or guardian will need to sign a consent form for children under the age of 18 prior to the flight.
Military aircraft are built and tested to different standards than that put forward by CASA or any equivalent international civil aviation governing body. As such, in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Regulation Parts 132.140, 132.150 and 132.155;
- The design, manufacture and airworthiness of the aircraft are not required to meet any standard recognised by CASA; and
- CASA does not require the aircraft to be operated to the same degree of safety as an aircraft used for regular public transport or charter operations; and
- The passenger agrees to participate in this flight at his or her own risk; and
- If it is reasonable to believe that a passenger cannot understand the safety briefing; said passenger must be accompanied on the flight by a parent, guardian, or carer; and
- A detailed briefing will be provided to the passenger before they board the aircraft. This will include signing a liability waiver and acknowledgment of the briefing. If the passenger is under 18 years of age the waiver and acknowledgment must be signed by a parent, or legal guardian.
