Departing from Bankstown Airport, the Extra launches skyward with immense climb performance, rapidly gaining altitude as you track toward the stunning Northern Beaches of Sydney. Capable of speeds exceeding 400 km/h, climbing at 2,500 feet per minute and delivering blistering roll rates of up to 420 degrees per second, this is no ordinary flight.
Your experience begins at the Red Baron Hangar, where you'll check in, suit up in a pilot's flight suit and receive a personalised one-on-one pre-flight briefing. Once securely strapped into the cockpit and fitted with a headset, you're ready to take on one of the most exhilarating flying experiences available.
As you climb to approximately 3,500-4,000 feet over Long Reef, the intense grade aerobatic sequence begins. Your pilot will guide you through powerful manoeuvres including loops, barrel rolls and hammerhead turns, with the possibility of inverted flight depending on conditions and your comfort level. You'll experience strong, shifting G-forces, feeling weightless one moment and firmly pressed into your seat the next - all while enjoying panoramic views through the Extras bubble canopy.
