Fly back to the 1940s and soar amongst the clouds in a World War II fighter trainer, the T-6 Texan. This legendary aircraft is a powerhouse a genuine piece of aviation history thats capable of a wide spectrum of dazzling aerobatic manoeuvres from loops, to barrel rolls, Cuban 8s and wingovers.

Upon arrival you are given a full, pre-flight briefing and a familiarisation of the aircraft. You can decide in consultation with your pilot, the types of aerobatics you are comfortable with. After this, jump aboard the T-6 Texanaircraft and let your pilot take you for an aerobatics flight over the Armidale area.

Your pilot takes the Texan to a safe aerobatics height where you can view the city of Armidale. Then the real fun begins. Dive, roll and loop over the countryside on an airborne adventure to remember.

Finally, you return from where you began and safely land ready for some photos next to the plane.

This experience is affected by the weather. In the case of poor conditions, we will reschedule your experience for a later date.

Allow 1 hour for the experience with 30 minutes spent in the aircraft.

Available throughout the year, operating 7 days a week.

Valid for one person.

Any changes made to bookings must be done at least 48 hours before the flight.

You must be 13 years old and over, weigh no more than 130kg and be under 200cm tall. A parent or guardian will need to sign a consent form for children under the age of 18 prior to the flight.

CASA Regulation for booking adventure flights

Military aircraft are built and tested to different standards than that put forward by CASA or any equivalent international civil aviation governing body. As such, in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Regulation Parts 132.140, 132.150 and 132.155;

  • The design, manufacture and airworthiness of the aircraft are not required to meet any standard recognised by CASA; and
  • CASA does not require the aircraft to be operated to the same degree of safety as an aircraft used for regular public transport or charter operations; and
  • The passenger agrees to participate in this flight at his or her own risk; and
  • If it is reasonable to believe that a passenger cannot understand the safety briefing; said passenger must be accompanied on the flight by a parent, guardian, or carer; and
  • A detailed briefing will be provided to the passenger before they board the aircraft. This will include signing a liability waiver and acknowledgment of the briefing. If the passenger is under 18 years of age the waiver and acknowledgment must be signed by a parent, or legal guardian.
