Your Tiger Moth flight explores the breathtaking panorama of the Yarra wineries from just 500 feet onboard one of the most iconic aircraft known to humankind. Add to the thrill as you step back in time, dressed in an authentic leather flight jacket, goggles and scarf, heightening the authenticity of the experience.
This is 30 minutes of excellent flying over Steeles Hill, Warburton, Silvan and Mount Dandenong, Yarra Glen, Healesville, The Yarra River, and Sugarloaf Reservoir.
Allow1 hour for the experience with 30 minutes spent in the air.
Available throughout the year on weekends only.
Valid for one person.
Any changes made to bookings must be done at least 48 hours before the flight.
You must be 13 years old and over, weigh no more than 130kg and be under 200cm tall.
Military aircraft are built and tested to different standards than that put forward by CASA or any equivalent international civil aviation governing body. As such, in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Regulation Parts 132.140, 132.150 and 132.155;
- The design, manufacture and airworthiness of the aircraft are not required to meet any standard recognised by CASA; and
- CASA does not require the aircraft to be operated to the same degree of safety as an aircraft used for regular public transport or charter operations; and
- The passenger agrees to participate in this flight at his or her own risk; and
- If it is reasonable to believe that a passenger cannot understand the safety briefing; said passenger must be accompanied on the flight by a parent, guardian, or carer; and
- A detailed briefing will be provided to the passenger before they board the aircraft. This will include signing a liability waiver and acknowledgment of the briefing. If the passenger is under 18 years of age the waiver and acknowledgment must be signed by a parent, or legal guardian.
I found it a marvellous experience and the pilot was really good as he showed me everything he could in that area.I was rather disappointed that the flight had been moved to Yelling air port as i did not get to see the area in which my friends and i live, so i did not get the photos that i really wanted , but i got some very nice photos anyway. Its fun to just climb into the cockpit. And that is just the start. Terrific views over the Yarra valley and surrounds. Its windy up there, so keep a good hold on to your phone
If you like flying then this an experience that you will enjoy. The simplicity of the Tiger moth, open to the elements makes this a great experience and flying over the Yarra Valley is the cherry on top. The facilities are basic but this adds to the charm. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
