Explore a beautiful fringing coral reef teeming with marine life and colourful corals next to the Great Barrier Reef marine park.
The Whitsundays have an extensive range of colourful tropical reef fish and diver favourites, such as Maroi wrasse, Queensland groupers, Batfish, parrotfish, and a vast range of angel and butterfly fish. All are good indicators of a healthy coral reef system.
On this dive, we commonly encounter hawksbill turtles, olive sea snakes, feather stars, wobbegong, and reef sharks. And a personal favourite is nudibranchs. Of the 700 species in Australia, an extensive range is seen here in the Whitsundays!
Black Island Island diving at its finest! Black Island offers a gentle drift dive along the reef slope close to the island, one of our favourite dive sites. A very healthy and diverse range of hard and soft corals. Plenty of shallow caves, gullies and ledges to explore. Subject to some currents providing perfect conditions for lots of marine life.

Valid for one person. A minimum number of 10 people is required for the dive to go ahead.
You must be a certified diver to participate.
The minimum age is 15 years old. You must be medically fit scuba dive.
