Whether you’re a novice who has tried riding a mountain bicycle on a trail a few times or are familiar with biking, but you’d like to hone your skills, this core skills class will help you develop your ability.
It’s all about the fundamentals. After this lesson, you’ll be surprised at how your cycling improves as we help you correct your riding and cultivate the good habits you need to move on to the next stage of learning.
The training facilities in Adelaide use the teaching framework initially developed by British Cycling, which is now also used by Mountain Biking Australia (MTBA).
Learn the core skills of what makes a good mountain biker, from basic bike set-up to your body position and stance on the bike. Get comfortable on your bicycle before we move on to the more technical skills, like track stands, manual lifts and wheel lifts. We also use video analysis to help you see and critique your riding from a new perspective.
At the end of this 5-hour session, you’ll become a more skilled cyclist, ready to take what you’ve learned on your next ride through the trails.
