This defensive driving course is designed to help you understand how to drive safely. You will learn about vehicle dynamics and car control methods, including seating positions, vision exercises, and steering wheel control. The course covers comprehensive braking techniques for both ABS and non-ABS vehicles to help you prevent skidding and keep control of your car. It also helps you improve your awareness of speed, reaction times, and stopping distances, so you can better understand your vehicle's emergency responses.
The course includes theoretical sessions that offer insights into road safety concepts and driver attitudes. You will learn how your motivations and risk-taking tendencies can affect your safety and the safety of others on the road. At Calder Park, expect a fun and unforgettable learning experience. You will practice driving on wet roads at suburban speeds and learn the fundamental principles of defensive driving.
This experience runs from 8.15am to approximately 4 pm.
The experience is available on selected dates throughout the year.
Valid for one person.
If you hold a learners permit, please bring someone with you that holds a full licence.
This experience is suitable for everyone from 16-80 years old, and for most cars including 4WDs and light commercial vehicles.
