The Grumman Avenger is a WW2 torpedo bomber that saw service in 1942 and is made famous by US President George H.W. Bush after being shot down in 1943. It first saw service in the Battle of Midway. And this one is the only Avenger available to fly in Australia today, making it super special.
The Avenger is a truly monstrous torpedo bomber. With a massive 1800 hp engine and a rich history of almost 20 years, this is one of the best adventure flight experiences you will ever have.
Allow one hour at the venue with 20 minutes spent in the air.
Available throughout the year subject to suitable weather conditions.
Valid for one person. Spectators are welcome to join you to watch the flight.
You will need to sign a liability waiver on the day of your experience. If you are aged under 16, a parent or guardian will need to sign the waiver on your behalf.
You need to be in good general health, aged over 12 years and capable of getting into and out of the flight seat. A parent or guardian needs to attend with you if you are aged under 16 years.
