There is nothing quite like the sound of the propeller being turned. The cheerful chug as the engine fires up. The smell of the fuel. The thrill of sitting in the open cockpit with the wind in your hair.

This is why we offer this extraordinary chance to take in the beautiful scenery of the Yarra wineries from just 500 feet up in the air. And in one of the most iconic aircraft. Because if you like flying or have ever wanted to experience a Tiger Moth flight, this is the perfect experience.

What is more, you get to dress up for the experience in an authentic leather flight jacket, goggles and scarf to fully enjoy this glorious step back in time.

This is 30 minutes of excellent flying over Steeles Hill, Warburton, Silvan and Mount Dandenong, Yarra Glen, Healesville, The Yarra River, and Sugarloaf Reservoir.

On the flight back to the airport, you can enjoy light aerobatics before gently descending onto the runway.

This experience is affected by the weather. In the case of poor conditions, we will reschedule your experience for a later date.

Allow1 hour for the experience with 30 minutes spent in the air.

Available throughout the year on weekends only.

Valid for one person.

Any changes made to bookings must be done at least 48 hours before the flight.

You must be 13 years old and over, weigh no more than 130kg and be under 200cm tall.

CASA Regulation for booking adventure flights

Military aircraft are built and tested to different standards than that put forward by CASA or any equivalent international civil aviation governing body. As such, in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Regulation Parts 132.140, 132.150 and 132.155;

  • The design, manufacture and airworthiness of the aircraft are not required to meet any standard recognised by CASA; and
  • CASA does not require the aircraft to be operated to the same degree of safety as an aircraft used for regular public transport or charter operations; and
  • The passenger agrees to participate in this flight at his or her own risk; and
  • If it is reasonable to believe that a passenger cannot understand the safety briefing; said passenger must be accompanied on the flight by a parent, guardian, or carer; and
  • A detailed briefing will be provided to the passenger before they board the aircraft. This will include signing a liability waiver and acknowledgment of the briefing. If the passenger is under 18 years of age the waiver and acknowledgment must be signed by a parent, or legal guardian.

Amazing experience! Felt like a true daredevil in the open cockpit of the Tiger Moth. Pilot was professional and the views were breathtaking. Highly recommend!
