A certified instructor takes you on a fantastic trip to the Whitsunday Islands, an underwater journey in the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef.
There are 74 islands with beautiful corals, colourful tropical reef fish and diver favourites such as Maroi wrasse, Queensland groupers, Batfish, parrotfish and a vast range of angels and butterflies.
Also commonly encountered on the dive are hawksbill turtles, olive sea snakes, feathers tars, wobbegong and reef sharks. And a favourite - the nudibranchs. Of the 700 species in Australia, an extensive range is located in the Whitsundays!
Manta rays and humpback whales migrate to the Whitsundays in the winter months and are not uncommon sights.
Black Island offers Island diving at its finest! One of the favourite dive sites, Black Island, provides a gentle drift dive along the reef slope close to the island. A very healthy and diverse range of hard and soft corals. Plenty of shallow caves, gullies and ledges to explore. Subject to some currents providing perfect conditions for lots of marine life and a great place to try scuba diving for beginners.
Allow 6 hours in total with 30 minutes spent underwater on your dive.

Valid for one person. A minimum number of 3 people is required for the dive to go ahead.
There is a PADI medical questionnaire you must fill out before diving, if you answer yes to any of the questions, you will be required to get a scuba diving medical before diving.
You must be physically fit. A medical may be required prior to your dive. The minimum age is 15 years old.
