Fly to one of the world's last untouched wilderness frontiers, South West Tasmania. This World Heritage-listed National Park contains many icons of the Tasmanian wilderness.
Departing Cambridge Airport, you make your way down the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, past the mouth of the Huon River and on to Recherche Bay. Enter the Southwest World Heritage Area at South East Cape, Tasmania's most southern point, and out west to Melaleuca.
After landing at Melaleuca, board a boat for a trip on Melaleuca Inlet and into Bathurst Harbour, Port Davey, where you can witness the wilderness from a viewpoint you cannot appreciate by air or by foot.
Visit the Deny King Memorial Bird Hide and take an interpretive journey along the Needwonnee Walk, an award-winning Aboriginal interpretive experience.
Reboard the aircraft and return to Cambridge Airport via the spectacular Eastern Arthurs and Federation Peak, down the Huon Valley and over Hobart city.
Tours depart at 8.30 am and return at 4.30 pm.
The tour is available all year round
