Your adventure starts when you don Arctic clothing for this chilling experience! Then it's straight behind the scenes for a 45-minute tour of the Penguin Playground.
An experienced keeper will tell you about the cheeky little Gentoo penguins the world's fastest underwater swimmers! - and introduce you to the beautiful and majestic King penguins, second only in size to the Emperor penguins.
You will visit the penguin food preparation areas and veterinary station. And find out how the state-of-the-art exhibit keeps super-cool for its sub-Antarctic residents.
Finish the day with a stroll around the aquarium, as the entrance is included in your Penguin Pass.
Enjoy the Mermaid Garden, visit the Bay of Rays and see Pinjarra, one of Australia's most enormous giant saltwater crocodiles,s in the Crocodile Lair. And perhaps stop off for some 4D Cinema, Ice Age style!
To enjoy the full experience, we recommend you allow between 1 and 2 hours. The tour runs for 45 minutes.
The Penguin Passport tour runs Monday to Sunday at 2pm.
Valid for one person. A maximum of 3 people can go on this tour at one time.
If you experience Flu/Cold/Gastro/Respiration infection within 48 hours of your experience, you will need toreschedule - our penguins are very sensitive.
You must be aged 14 or over. There is some walking upstairs.
The Penguin Passport at Melbourne Aquarium was the highlight of our visit! We got to get up close and personal with the penguins and even got to feed them. Such a unique and amazing experience!
