Take an informative, hands-on American smoking BBQ class and learn about the four central BBQ regions of the United States and the differences between them. Explore techniques like smoking with charcoal and the low-and-slow method to produce mouthwatering, fall-off-the-bone meat every time you BBQ!
On arrival at your cooking class, enjoy a cold beer, put on an apron, and you're set to go. Your chefs discuss the day's format and introduce the menu.
In class, you and the chef will prepare fresh meat for smoking, demonstrating and learning the techniques. The chef will cover equipment, the Texas Crutch Method, troubleshooting, and temperatures.
On the menu, we have Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers, Uncle E-Rock's Smoked Baby Rack Ribs with Apple Bourbon BBQ Sauce, Memphis-style smoked Pulled Pork with Mop Sauce and cabbage and Apple Slaw Texas Style, Smoked Low and Slow, Cape Grim Brisket Smoked Corn with Jalapeno and Lime Butter Spicy Cinnamon, and chilli Chocolate Brownie.
Classes run for approximately 3 hours commencing at 11.00am or 3.00pm.
Classes are held weekly on Saturdays or Sundays.
Valid for one person.
The menu is subject to seasonal variation.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
