This advanced driver training course builds your sense of the car and road - spend a day practicing vehicle dynamics to braking technique and emergency situations.

The defensive driving course educates drivers about vehicle dynamics and the proper car control methods, from seating and vision to steering. In addition, you'll learn braking techniques for different setups, including ABS and non-ABS vehicles, the causes of skidding, and how to control a skid and prevent it from happening.
Regardless of your driving experience, the course raises awareness about speed, reaction times and stopping distances. In addition, you'll learn how your vehicle reacts in emergencies and have fun along the way.
The practical component of this course is conducted on wet roads at suburban speeds.The classroom component covers driver attitude, basic road safety concepts and the critical principles of defensive driving. This takes you through understanding how motivations and risk-taking behaviour can affect driver safety and the safety of other road users.
This experience runs from 8.15am to around 4pm.
The experience is available on selected dates throughout the year.
Valid for one person. Up to 40 people may be on the course.
This experience is suitable for everyone from 16-80 years old, and for most cars including 4WDs and light commercial vehicles. If you hold a learners permit, please bring someone with you that holds a full licence.
