Now you are ready to experience the thrill of a Tiger Moth joy flight, flying low in one of life’s most well-known planes.
With views of Scarborough Point, you will have the joy flight of your life around the breathtaking Queensland coastline.
At a mere 500 feet above sea-level your pilot sweeps you oh so low for a truly amazing and breathtaking Redcliffe flight around the peninsula.
Then it’s down and along to Woody Point. And off to Hornibrook Bridge. Before returning to Redcliffe Aerodrome.
There has never been a more exciting way to explore Queensland’s beaches and bays than during a Tiger Moth scenic flight.
You will be in the air for approximately 15 minutes.
This experience is available on weekends only all year round subject to prevailing weather conditions.
Valid for one person. There will be just you and your pilot in the Tiger Moth.
Spectators are welcome to visit the 1930s waiting room and see you off and wave you in on your return. Bring a camera and if you have them a pair of binoculars.
Minimum age is 6. Max weight 130kg. If you fit into a standard car seat you should be comfortable in the cockpit. Unsuitable for pregnant women or anyone unable to climb into the open cockpit. If you have a medical condition please check with your doctor first.
Military aircraft are built and tested to different standards than that put forward by CASA or any equivalent international civil aviation governing body. As such, in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Regulation Parts 132.140, 132.150 and 132.155;
- The design, manufacture and airworthiness of the aircraft are not required to meet any standard recognised by CASA; and
- CASA does not require the aircraft to be operated to the same degree of safety as an aircraft used for regular public transport or charter operations; and
- The passenger agrees to participate in this flight at his or her own risk; and
- If it is reasonable to believe that a passenger cannot understand the safety briefing; said passenger must be accompanied on the flight by a parent, guardian, or carer; and
- A detailed briefing will be provided to the passenger before they board the aircraft. This will include signing a liability waiver and acknowledgment of the briefing. If the passenger is under 18 years of age the waiver and acknowledgment must be signed by a parent, or legal guardian.
