What if there was a way to see the spectacular north coast through the eyes of a 1930s fighter pilot?  This adventure flight seems to have figured it out and it's perfectly immersive.

Upon arriving at the 1930’s hangar in Redcliffe Aerodrome, you first set your eyes on the beautifully restored biplane.  It's a marvellous aircraft, a DH82a model with a four-cylinder Gypsy engine.

Your pilot for the day has been flying for 40 years and introduces you to the aircraft.  After some history and a safety briefing, you jump into the front seat of the plane in full leather flight suit and wearing the classic Tiger Moth goggles.  Now that's a picture.  Get ready Biggles.  It's chocks away!

With an hour spent in the air; you fly around the Redcliffe coastal area to Beachmere, up to Woody Point and then inland around the spectacular Glasshouse Mountains.

Soar through the sky, take in the smells and feel just how it must have been for the pilots that trained in these aircraft.  It's a feeling you'll never forget.  A feeling of yesteryear.

Flying can be affected by poor weather. If you are in doubt that the flight will take place, you can call the operator the morning of your flight to check it will go ahead.

You will be in the air for 1 hour.

This experience is available on weekends only all year round subject to prevailing weather conditions.

Valid for one person. There will be just you and your pilot in the Tiger Moth.

If you have long hair, you'll need something to tie it back with.

Minimum age is 6. Max weight 130kg. If you fit into a standard car seat you should be comfortable in the cockpit. Unsuitable for pregnant women or anyone unable to climb into the open cockpit. If you have a medical condition please check with your doctor first.
