Step into a working honey farm for a calm, small-group experience that follows the journey from hive to jar. Begin with a guided introduction to the apiary, where you learn how a bee colony works and how honey reflects the seasons, weather and local flowers.
Suit up in a beekeeper veil and visit the hives for a close look at the bees in action, with plenty of time to observe, listen and take it all in.
Back on the terrace overlooking the dam, enjoy morning tea and a guided tasting of seasonal honeys, each with its own floral personality. Then the fun really starts. A freshly collected honey frame is brought out, and guests take turns breaking down the comb with a silver spoon before turning a traditional honey press.
Watch raw honey flow straight into jars without filtering or heating, just as nature intended. Each participant leaves with a jar of honey they helped harvest, making this a sweet, tactile and memorable encounter with one of nature's most fascinating pollinators.
