Your experience starts with a comprehensive safety briefing and introduction to the unmodified Formula Ford Spirit or Van Diemen race cars.
First, you get two orientation laps with an instructor to gain valuable insights into the Sydney Motorsport circuit, its apexes, straights and braking points. During the session, you have access to a professional Formula Ford racing driver who can help guide you to ensure you get the most out of the experience.
With the orientation session complete, you climb behind the wheel of the Formula Ford. Strapped into the open cockpit with a full 6-point harness and a quick-release steering wheel, it's time to drive for a five-lap session of the corporate hill section of the south circuit, one of Australia's premier race tracks.
Feel the super responsive race car react to every minor adjustment you make as you sweep through corners, pulling loads of up to 2G. No rev-limiters exist so that you can drive the car to the limits.

Allow approximately 2-3 hours for the experience.
Available throughout the year, dependent on availability. Sessions run from 8 am, 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm. We may run twilight sessions from November to February at 4 pm.
Valid for one person. Up to 20 other participants will be present during the session.
When you are driving, you are responsible for any damage done to the vehicle. You must hold a minimum of a P standard driving license and be able to confidently use a manual gearbox.
Minimum age 16 years. Maximum weight 120kg. Maximum height 196cm. Minimum height 155cm. Not suitable for pregnant women and those suffering from certain medical conditions.
We drove down from Hornsby for 5 laps, just getting used to the car and it was over. My son and I enjoyed the drive we should have done a 10 lap option.

I was given 5 laps as a gift thought might be good but ended up buying another 10 laps.great experience and highly recommend.

I would highly recommend anyone that feels the need for speed to experience the Formula Ford Race Car events. Driving a real race car with no-one in your ear to tell you when to hit the brakes or change gears is the way to go. They are a go-kart on steroids The staff were fantastic, the sighting laps with the experts were worth the price of admission alone, well almost. Dont wait, do it.

Wow! What an experience! I loved every minute of the Formula Ford Driving and was lucky to get 5 laps in at Eastern Creek. The staff were friendly and professional. Highly recommended!
