Then this is the perfect course for you, designed to eliminate your worries whilst building the skills and confidence needed to traverse any terrain. With an expert instructor to guide you through this course, the time to awaken your inner adventurer is now.
Uncover the ancient forms of navigation by learning how to read the sun, moon and stars for their guiding properties. Used by ancient mariners, generals and explorers alike, these skills have ensured success for thousands of years. And if thats not enough, theres also the addition of more modern techniques.
Using simple step-by-step instructions, learn the intriguing art of compass reading, map exploration, altimeters, and GPS systems. Then, learn to navigate through fog, undergrowth, by day and by night. When it comes to getting lost, you will no longer be a follower, instead holding the confidence and skills to navigate yourself out of any landscape safely.
The course runs for a full day from 9am to 5pm.
Available from May to August.
Valid for one person. This experience is conducted in small groups.
Lunch and all specialist equipment are provided. If you have your own equipment and wish to use it feel free to bring it along.
