What Skills are best for Drifting?
To be able to drift, a driver needs a combination of skills, including
Car control The driver needs to have a good understanding of how the car behaves under different driving conditions and be able to control the car's movement through the steering, throttle, and brake inputs.
Timing The driver needs to have a good sense of timing and be able to initiate the drift at the right moment to make the most of the available traction.
Throttle control The driver needs to be able to modulate the throttle to control the speed of the car, as well as to initiate and maintain the drift.
Steering technique The driver needs to be able to perform precise and quick steering inputs to maintain the drift and keep the car on the desired line.
Vision The driver needs to be able to look far ahead and anticipate the upcoming corner rather than just focusing on the car's immediate surroundings.
Drifting is often considered a more advanced driving technique, and it's not something that can be learned overnight. It takes practice and experience to master the skill and to be able to perform consistent and smooth drifts.
