After an initial briefing from your pilot, you'll put on the Biggles-style flight jacket, a headset and goggles. Then it's into your Tiger Moth aircraft for a spectacular flight, taking in thesurroundings.
With the prop swung into action, prepare to take off.It's chocks away, chaps!
Once airborne, your pilot tracks towards the ocean.
The feeling of an open cockpit, the wind in your hair, takes you back into the bygone era of flying aces and legendary aircraft. Only the views of the roads and infrastructureare there to remind you of the modern era.
The Tiger Moth is all about adventure and freedom. So perhaps it's time to reminisce or discover what it was like.
Allow one hour with 45 minutes in the aircraft from engine start to engine stop.
This experience is available all year round but subject to prevailing weather conditions.
Valid for oneperson. This is a one on one experience with your fully qualified pilot.
Spectators are welcome to see you off and wave you in on your return. Bring a camera and if you have them a pair of binoculars. You will need to sign for a visitors pass at the operators facilities.
Minimum age is 6. You should be comfortable in the cockpit if you fit into a standard car seat. Unsuitable for pregnant women or anyone unable to climb into the open cockpit. Please consult with your doctor if you have a medical condition.
Military aircraft are built and tested to different standards than that put forward by CASA or any equivalent international civil aviation governing body. As such, in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Regulation Parts 132.140, 132.150 and 132.155;
- The design, manufacture and airworthiness of the aircraft are not required to meet any standard recognised by CASA; and
- CASA does not require the aircraft to be operated to the same degree of safety as an aircraft used for regular public transport or charter operations; and
- The passenger agrees to participate in this flight at his or her own risk; and
- If it is reasonable to believe that a passenger cannot understand the safety briefing; said passenger must be accompanied on the flight by a parent, guardian, or carer; and
- A detailed briefing will be provided to the passenger before they board the aircraft. This will include signing a liability waiver and acknowledgment of the briefing. If the passenger is under 18 years of age the waiver and acknowledgment must be signed by a parent, or legal guardian.

The guys that you had to check in with were not really very customer service oriented. They were nice enough however when I taxied off up the runway the pilot doubled back when we took off but as they two guys on the ground did not say anything my family thought that I had taken off already in the other direction and had gone and sat in the car.The pilot was fantastic and took lots of time to talk to me and my family. The museum is an added bonus at Point Cook and the grand-kids loved walking around looking at the displays.Overall it was a great day out.
