Prepare for a full day of paintballing, because you arrive at the Queensland paintballing facility at 9 a.m. and leave sometime around 4 p.m.

Suited up in combat gear, full body armor, a combat suit and a full helmet and goggles, you are outfitted with your weapon for the day, a US spec semi-automatic paintball marker. Your ammunition holder can handle a capacity of 400 rounds. 100 paintballs are included for each player.

A short briefing on safety, using your paintballing equipment, basic rules of play and you are ready to wage war.

The paintball experts at the facility offer some basic tips for play, which can be especially useful if you've never played before.

With the preliminaries over, the course beckons.  And there are quite a few.

Each course is themed after specific Hollywood movies and offer challenges that are relevant to the movie's plot. Some of the movie courses include Tomb Raider, Checkpoint Charlie and Tropic Thunder.  Ready.  Aim. Fire.

With luck, your paintballing day will dawn bright and sunny, but if the weather doesn't cooperate, you'll still play paintball. Between courses, you can rest in sheltered areas.

The paintballing day begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m.

Paintballing is available 7 days per week, throughout the year, subject to booking availability. We recommend you book at least 2 weeks ahead to avoid disappointment.

You may bring your own equipment, but it's up to the paintball center manager as to whether or not you can use your equipment instead of the facility equipment. You must buy paintballs at the centre and cannot bring your own gas cylinders.

In Queensland, nobody younger than 15 can play paintball, so make sure all your participants are old enough to play.
