Get started on your journey towards becoming a pilot with this hands-on introductory lesson.

Your qualified instructor begins the experience with a pre-flight briefing. Find out all the inside information from the aircraft controls, features, and capabilities and the essential safety requirements of your flight ahead.

Strap into a 2-seater Cessna 152 and, after a short taxi to the runway, your instructor gently lifts the plane into the sky.

Before taking the controls, your instructor demonstrates the critical aspects of flying the aircraft. Starting with the most straightforward manoeuvres, watch carefully because it’s over to you. Then, take the controls and give them a try with the confidence and security of dual controls with your instructor.

Experience the power and independence of flying an aircraft for the first time.

After the flight, your pilot takes the controls to land at Bacchus Marsh Aerodrome. Your flight is followed by a debrief and a chance to ask your instructor any questions you may have about flight training.

Need to Know

This activity is dependent on the weather. The operator will contact you as soon as practicable if the weather will be unsuitable. On occasion, we may not be able to assess the weather until you arrive at the airport.

The flying experience is for 30 minutes. You need to allow 1 hour for the entire experience, including briefings.

Available 7 days a week, between 9am and 5pm, except for Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Valid for one person.

This experience takes place in our Cessna 152 2-seater aircraft. This aircraft has height and weight restrictions, however if you let us know we can upgrade you to another aircraft for an additional fee.

Max weight 90 kg. Max height 190 cm. You need to be at least 16 years of age. A parent/ guardian must attend and provide consent if you are under 18 years of age. You must be proficient in the English language and medically able.
