Try your hand at sea kayaking with a journey around the sheltered Woolamai Waters of Phillip Island. Paddle past huge granite cliffs and sea caves, observe sea life at sea level in day of adventure.

  • Your qualified guide will introduce you to the kayak and safety gear.
  • Try your hand at a dry capsize drill, warm up and pair up with your kayak partner for the day.
  • Learn the basic strokes for 30 minutes before setting off in a group tour.
  • Throughout your jouney your guide offers insights on environmental features and local history.

Paddle past huge granite cliffs reminiscent of Wilsons Promontory's landscape and paddle into sea caves on an exciting journey of discovery. You'll find this area a real adventure and a great way to get away from it all.

With gentle rolling waters, sea life abounds with seals, penguins and the occasional pod of dolphins and the lunch spot is a real corker.

Your experience begins with a short discussion on the day ahead.  Fitted with a PFD, spray deck, paddle jacket, thermals and a paddle you'll look just the part. 

Now time for some gentle warm up stretches before entering the water for a day of adventure and discovery.

After some basic strokes for 30 to 60 minutes, you'll set off as one group on the kayak adventure.

Throughout your journey, your host provides commentary on the environment and the local history of the area.

Lunch and drinks are available for everyone to enjoy about half way through the journey.

This experience may be affected by the weather. If the wind forecast is over 20 knots or if there are lightning predictions, then the tour will be rescheduled to another time.

The tour commences 9:30am and completes at 3:00pm.

Tours operate every day of the year, subject to demand. Our busiest times include weekends and the hotter months between October - April.

Voucher is valid for one person. There will be a minimum of 4 and maximum of 12 people on the trip.

Lunch is provided as part of your tour. You'll be required to sign an indemnity form and complete a medical questionnaire prior to participating in the experience.

You must be at least 14 years of age and have a reasonable level of fitness. You must be confident in and around water and be able to swim at least 50m. Not suitable if you have a bad back, broken bones, wrist or shoulder injuries.
