You begin your 3-hour adventure from Byron Bay beach where you learn how to steer and paddle before embarking on the guided tour. Paddle out from the shore, past the break where your guide shares the Dreamtime stories about Nguthungulli – the Julian Rocks. Soon you’ll be passing along the Pass surfing Mecca, Wategos millionaire row and Walgun, Australia’s most easterly point. Keep an eye out for dolphins, whales (when in season) and a variety of turtles.
The sea is really clear as you reach the volcanic reef. It’s time for a swim, a snorkel and refreshments. At this point, you’ll see the stunning views of Byron Bay coastline, the lighthouse and surf waves. Surf waves are fantastic fun, and you’ll get to learn how to ride them on your return.
