Warm glass, also known as glass fusing or slumping, is an ancient artistic technique that goes back to the second millennium BC. The process involves cutting and heating the glass to various temperatures to melt, fuse or reshape it using the principles of gravity.

Whether you are a beginner or glass hobbyist, this workshop is sure to fascinate you. Learn to use the vast range of coloured fusible glasses including the popular colour-shifting dichroic to make your dazzling glass jewellery.

Commencing with a tour of a working glass studio, you'll learn the art of glass fusing through demonstrations and hands-on experience. Your creation is fired overnight and available for collection the following day from the studio or selected pick-up point.

Included are a full set of class notes and simple instructions for assembling the fired pieces.  Come and enjoy the thrill of creating your very own fashion pieces!

This experience is not dependant on the weather.

The workshop is conducted on Saturdays from 10am to 3:30pm.

The experience is available most weekends and is conducted on Saturdays. Other days can be arranged for group bookings. We recommend that you book 4 weeks in advance to avoid disappointment.

Valid for one person. Up to 6 people may attend the workshop with you.

Your glass creations are fired overnight. Collection options; the next day from the studio, other days from selected pick up points or by mail at additional cost. Assembly kit to suit your individual pieces are available for purchase.

This workshop is for participants over 16 years old. You will need to perform cutting tasks which requires you to apply some pressure to the tools used.
