Begin your racing day with an introduction to the unmodified, Formula Ford Spirit or Van Diemen race cars.
With this driving experience, you can expect the best. Start with 2 orientation laps with an instructor to gain some valuable insights into the Sydney Motorsport circuit, its apexes, straights and braking points.
With the orientation session complete, you climb behind the wheel of the Formula Ford. Strapped into the open cockpit with full 6-point harness and a quick release steering wheel it’s time to drive for a 10 lap session of Sydney Motorsport Park.
Take a break and a chance to evaluate your laps with your instructor. Then jump back into the car for another 10 laps of this premier race track. No rev limiters, drive the car to your limits. This is what racing is all about.
Feel the super responsive race car react to every tiny adjustment you make as you sweep through corners pulling loads of up to 2Gs.
Allow approximately 2-3 hours for the experience.
Available on weekdays throughout the year dependent on availability. Session run from 8am, 10am, 12pm, 2pm. We may also run twilight sessions from November to February at 4pm.
Valid for one person. Up to 20 other participants will be present during the session.
When you are driving, you are responsible for any damage done to the vehicle. You must hold a minimum of a P standard manual driving license and be able to confidently use a manual gearbox.
Minimum age 16 years. Maximum weight 120kg. Maximum height 196cm. Minimum height 155cm. Not suitable for pregnant women and those suffering from certain medical conditions. We recommend you contact your doctor if you are unsure whether this experience is suitable.
