Are you a seasoned rider looking to improve your performance on the trails and at the races? You're ready for our intermediate class if you’ve mastered front-wheel manuals, power-assisted lifts, rear-wheel lifts, track stands, and the other techniques covered in our core skills course.
Our training facilities in Adelaide use the teaching framework initially developed by British Cycling, also used by Mountain Biking Australia (MTBA). Building on the core skills of what makes a good mountain biker, you will tackle challenging terrain and obstacles you thought impossible. We also use video analysis to help you see and critique your riding from a new perspective. Finally, you’ll get a chance to cycle on the trail and practice what you’ve learnt in the dirt.
We adapt the lesson content to suit the learners. For example, you may learn stepovers, step-ups, drop-offs, pumping and grinding. Topics also include momentum, high-speed cornering, how to attack berms, and flowing single-track with confidence. We may also cover riding switchbacks, climbing and descending techniques, and bunny hops.
At the end of this 5-hour session, you’ll come out with a few more tricks in the bag, ready to face even more significant obstacles on the trails.
