With a very long history, Mexican food enjoys the strong influence of various indigenous groups from the Mayans, Aztecs, Olmecas, Zapotecas and Mixtecas.

Each contributed to the diversity of flavours, spice, and uniqueness of the Mexican cuisine. Another great influence comes from 300 years of ruling from the Spaniards, bringing a versatile and interesting fusion of foods and spices that are part of our gastronomy. The Spanish introduced dairy products, garlic, and livestock among others.

During your 3 hour experience you get to learn about Mexican cooking and some of its cultures from a local named Jesus.  Jesus is a home cook, a Mexican and shares with you his knowledge and family recipes.  His wonderfully authentic and informal touch is what makes the experience a cut above traditional cooking classes.

Provided with all the necessary utensils and commercial cooking equipment you can learn from demonstrations, find out about the staple Mexican foods and cook up an authentic Mexican feast.
