Fly back to the 1940s and enjoy an aerobatics session in an open cockpit, Boeing Stearman biplane.

Meticulously restored, this aircraft was used as a primary training machine during World War II, and by the start of the end of the Second World War, over 10 000 had been built.

Upon arrival, youget a full pre-flight briefing and a familiarisation of the aircraft.Then jump aboard your classicaircraft andtake to the skiesfor an aerobatics flight over the area.

Climbing to a safe aerobatics height, there's views of Armidale to enjoy, but thenthe real aerobatic fun begins.Tailored to your comfort level, you can expect aerobatics that includes G manoeuvres, wingovers, loop, barrel roll, Cubin 8 and half Cubin 8.

Finally, return to where you started and safely land for some photos next to the plane.Those photos will source many memories in the weeks, months, and years.

This experience is affected by the weather. In the case of poor conditions, we will reschedule your experience for a later date.

Allow 1 hour for the experience with 30 minutes spent in the aircraft.

Available throughout the year, operating 7 days a week.

Valid for one person.

Any changes made to bookings must be done at least 48 hours before the flight.

You must be 13 years old and over, weigh no more than 130kg and be under 200cm tall. A parent or guardian will need to sign a consent form for children under the age of 18 prior to the flight.

CASA Regulation for booking adventure flights

Military aircraft are built and tested to different standards than that put forward by CASA or any equivalent international civil aviation governing body. As such, in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Regulation Parts 132.140, 132.150 and 132.155;

  • The design, manufacture and airworthiness of the aircraft are not required to meet any standard recognised by CASA; and
  • CASA does not require the aircraft to be operated to the same degree of safety as an aircraft used for regular public transport or charter operations; and
  • The passenger agrees to participate in this flight at his or her own risk; and
  • If it is reasonable to believe that a passenger cannot understand the safety briefing; said passenger must be accompanied on the flight by a parent, guardian, or carer; and
  • A detailed briefing will be provided to the passenger before they board the aircraft. This will include signing a liability waiver and acknowledgment of the briefing. If the passenger is under 18 years of age the waiver and acknowledgment must be signed by a parent, or legal guardian.

Absolutely thrilling experience! The Boeing Sterman was a beast in the sky. The aerobatic stunts had my heart racing. Highly recommend!
