For the adrenaline junkie, who appreciates more extreme aerobatics, this 35 minute flight offers advanced sequences that push the limits of even the most diehards.
The Nanchang is a capable aircraft, used to train air force pilots. It has a 9 cylinder, supercharged radial engine that delivers 285hp and flys at close to 300kph in a straight, level line.
During an aerobatic sequence this aircraft delivers some serious Gs. Both positive and negative, which is one of the reasons your pilot spends a good amount of time discussing the physiological effects of the flight before your climb aboard.
Once seated in the Nanchang, you can listen in as your pilot prepares the plane, completes the pre-flight checks and requests clearance from air traffic control.
Lifting off, your pilot takes the plane to a suitable height for aerobatics. Experience wing overs, loops, stall turns and barrel rolls. Easy? But then the advanced aerobatics are yet to begin. You're in for some serious surprises.
Your pilot prepares you with aerobatics that increase in intensity. With each sequence, the Gs get bigger. You'll feel light one second then very heavy.
Can you hack it?
If you want to appreciate aerobatics at its limits, this is the flight for you.
