After a briefing from your experienced pilot, board the YAK 52.Straps on tight.After final checks and clearance from air traffic control, your pilotthrottles up for taking off.

Rising to a safe, dizzy height,your pilot performs several head-spinning moves and sequences designed to thrill even the most die-hard fliers.

Starting gently,each aerobatic manoeuvresteadily increases your resistance.It's all preparation because, before long, you move on to the most hair-raising of manoeuvres.

Could it be wet your pants time? You are in constant contact with your pilot.If it gets too much, you can lower the pace. After all, these YAKs were built to withstand high Gs and speed.They can push the limits of even the thirstiest of adrenaline junkies.

In some conditions your flight may need to be rescheduled or certain movements may be avoided. The operator will call you if your flight needs to be postponed due to poor weather.

You spend approximately 35 minutes in the aircraft from engine start to engine stop.

The experience is available all year round. We recommend booking at least two to three weeks in advance.

Valid for one person. Only you and your qualified pilot will be in the aircraft during your flight.

Spectators are welcome to see you off and wave you in on your return. You will need to sign for a visitors pass at the operators facilities.

Max height 6 foot 3 inches. Max weight 110kg. If you fit into a standard car seat, you should be comfortable in the cockpit. Unsuitable for pregnant women. We recommend you obtain medical advice if you have a prevailing medical condition.

CASA Regulation for booking adventure flights

Military aircraft are built and tested to different standards than that put forward by CASA or any equivalent international civil aviation governing body. As such, in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Regulation Parts 132.140, 132.150 and 132.155;

  • The design, manufacture and airworthiness of the aircraft are not required to meet any standard recognised by CASA; and
  • CASA does not require the aircraft to be operated to the same degree of safety as an aircraft used for regular public transport or charter operations; and
  • The passenger agrees to participate in this flight at his or her own risk; and
  • If it is reasonable to believe that a passenger cannot understand the safety briefing; said passenger must be accompanied on the flight by a parent, guardian, or carer; and
  • A detailed briefing will be provided to the passenger before they board the aircraft. This will include signing a liability waiver and acknowledgment of the briefing. If the passenger is under 18 years of age the waiver and acknowledgment must be signed by a parent, or legal guardian.
